A SeatCase®
is an assistive device that helps mobility-impaired individuals enjoy a better quality of life by increasing their access to more of life's opportunities. Developed in 1991, by a wheelchair user, the SeatCase
® was designed to be a travel tool for individuals with mobility impairments. Because it's been engineered to be lightweight, durable and
compact (it folds down to the size of a briefcase) that makes it an effective and economical way for individuals to be more mobile. For commercial transportation systems such as airlines, trains, buses
and ships, the Seatcase® (in addition to customer service) helps compliance with U.S. federal legislation (the Air Carrier Access Act) and for hotels, restaurants, and other public places that also must
comply with federal legislation (the Americans with Disabilities Act).
That's why you can now find the SeatCase® on-board over 30 of the
best airlines worldwide. As well as hotels, restaurants and homes around the world.
It's also being used by individuals for their personal mobility needs.
Its unique qualities have also earned SeatCase®
international recognition as an Industrial Design Excellence Award (IDSA) winner for it's design excellence, user benefits and materials selection.
The innovative and compact design was combined with solid
engineering gained through the assistance of our own engineers and those of the plastics division of the General Electric Corporation.
