From the start we knew that for Seatcase to be successful it would have to be sturdy, lightweight and
compact. For the body of the chair we chose Lexan®, an engineering
thermoplastic developed by General Electric Plastics. It is the same lightweight material used in many applications where strength and lightweight are critical, such as aircraft interiors and football
helmets. For the remainder of the chair we used a combination of high-strength aluminum and stainless steel
tubing.. What might surprise you is that the SeatCase®
supports an average size adult up to 300 pounds, with a safety factor two to three times higher. All this from a wheelchair weighing as little as 16 pounds. |

|
We knew the SeatCase®
had to fold, unfold, and operate easily, each and every time. The chair was designed using the latest CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and manufacturing) technology, much the same way aircraft are developed. Before the tooling for the parts were complete, engineers at the plastics division of General Electric (GE) Corporation fine-tuned the designs for form, fit and function.
In all manufacturing stages, using injection molded Lexan allowed for greater strength to weight ratios, dimensional stability and overall superior construction. But just as important as which material we use, or how the SeatCase chair is made, we're certain you'll appreciate its unique features. |

The SeatCase®
chair easily fits through a 15" doorway and it turns 360 on its own axis, making it the only wheelchair truly designed for narrow pathways, like airplane isles. It's also the only chair that can access all airplane
bathrooms. That's why SeatCase® is used by the best major airlines, including United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Delta Airlines. "It's being used on all our narrow body
jets and we hear nothing but great response from the use of it" Jackie Pate, Delta Airlines |

Because the SeatCase collapses
into the size of a briefcase, it's easy to handle and simple to stow. It'll fit under airplane seats, or in overhead compartments. Even more attractive is that the SeatCase®
conforms to airline carry on luggage regulations. It's perfect for trains and buses too. In fact, the SeatCase® can also be found on train systems in Japan and Australia.

Great Assist Device for Caregivers |
|
|
|
|
The SeatCase®
is not just another wheelchair. It is an affordable, lightweight, portable companion chair, shower chair, and in some instances can be used as a walker. The chair greatly extends accessibility for the mobility impaired and can be helpful to those assisting. It is compact and exceptionally maneuverable. It's lightweight and water and rust resistant components make it the most versatile and convenient chair or shower chair on the market.
The SeatCase®
fits through narrow bathroom doorways and can park right next to the commode, bathtub or sink. The footrest can also be pushed up and out of the way for additional access. Its seat is the same height as a standard 19" toilet seat and its optional armrest swings clear to make lateral transfers easy. This is a great boon to caregivers whose most difficult tasks pertain to accessing and using lavatory facilities.

An Excellent Shower Chair and Walker |
|
|
|
|
The SeatCase®
is totally waterproof and rust resistant and is often being used as a portable shower chair. With the chair opened and rear brakes engaged, the SeatCase makes an excellent walker with a seat readily available if the user becomes fatigued.
For commercial users as well as individuals, using the multiple features of the SeatCase®
Personal Travel Chair (as an interim wheelchair, a showerchair, and walker) saves both the considerable cost and space required to store each of these items. |
